Treatment Philosophy

Kathleen Peara is a multi-disciplined, clinical esthetician trained in the art and science of esthetics. She brings her experience, esthetic knowledge, advanced training in clinical esthetics, different massage techniques, aromatherapy, reflexology, ayurvedic studies, and energy work to each of her treatments. Kathleen became a Third-Degree Reiki Master in 1996. This combining of disciplines in her treatment offerings has very successfully served her clients’ needs over the many years she has been in private practice.

In peaceful, private, and nurturing surroundings each facial treatment begins with a skin analysis. The skin analysis will determine what the skin needs during a client’s visit. Kathleen’s Signature Treatment includes a light acid or enzyme peel followed with the appropriate facial protocols and also includes an abbreviated Foot Reflexology treatment. This approach allows the esthetician to decide on the best course of treatment, reducing excessive menu options. Enhanced clinical facial treatments are also available upon recommendation.

Traditional miscellaneous services as well as specialized alternative therapies are offered. Alternative therapies require a consultation to determine their individual appropriateness.

As she has for the past 33 years, Kathleen Peara still maintains a private practice in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
